Movement

From ML Stock Library

I've been on a sabbatical of sorts over the last year or so, I've not engaged in regular, consistent martial arts training.  It's a choice that I made to ensure that I would not burn out and lose the "love" of one of the activities that I must engage in, throughout the course of my life. Instead I threw myself into the development of my video craft & growing my business (of which I'm thrilled that I did, and very thankful for my current success). However, my life has been seriously out of balance through it.

On the sliding continuum of your consciousness, there's a current to what you do.  I've learned to observe it and do my best not to judge it & trust in the "knowing" that I would cycle back around into a training modality again; or not ... and that was ok too ...

With that in mind, I felt strongly compelled to pick up some sticks and work through a little form & flow this evening.

I must admit, that it was like coming home. Man, I missed this stuff. Lost in the flow, listening to the quiet rhythm of movement. Like water, as is said.

Looking forward to living in that world again for the foreseeable future. There's nothing like it.
